Test House Data informationA test house, constructed using the Energy Brick was built in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales. This location was chosen because of the extremes in climatic conditions. The Blue Mountains area is well known for its blistering summers and bitterly cold winter months. The test house was built using both a concrete slab, and above ground construction methods. During both the Summer and Winter seasons, the Energy Brick, which forms the main envelope around the building, was outstanding in being able to maintain a near constant temperature inside the house without using ANY type of air conditioning, of any kind whatsoever!!
