Is any mortar or glue needed between the Energy Bricks?Using mortar or any type of glue is not required.
The method of installation requires the use of a 6mm bead of non skinning mastic to be used on each side of the brick as shown in the photo below.
The recommended product to use for this purpose is Bostic 5612 Non Skinning Mastic, because it does not set and is fire resistant. The Mastic becomes the air and water seal between the bricks when the bricks are tied down as part of the installation process.
